Guy Mitchell

Head of Nursery
Twickenham Park

Guy is the heart and soul of Twickenham Park, having been part of the setting since 2003 when he joined as Deputy Manager. He was promoted to Manager in 2016 following a year as Interim Manager and has been a constant presence through all the nursery’s transitions, including the formation of Riverside Nursery Schools Group.

Guy is passionate about making every day a unique experience for the children in his care. His philosophy puts children first in everything – from how they learn and play to supporting their general wellbeing. He is dedicated to encouraging resilience, social skills, empathy, independence, ambition, integrity, good manners, and kind choices in every child.

Away from nursery, Guy is a devoted Liverpool supporter who enjoys music, films, and jogging. He has two children who previously attended Twickenham Park, which gave him invaluable insight into seeing the nursery from a parent’s perspective as well as a manager’s.

Under Guy’s leadership, Twickenham Park boasts an exceptionally stable and dedicated team – many staff members have been with the nursery for 10 to 20 years. Several practitioners have progressed from entry-level positions to Room Leads under his mentorship. Guy strives to ensure all staff are valued and praised for the incredible work they do every day. His longevity and the loyalty of his team are a testament to the positive, supportive culture he has cultivated.
