Terms & Conditions

  • Nurseries are open weekly Monday to Friday but will be closed on Bank Holidays and during school holidays if your nursery is a Term Time only setting.
  • Parents must respect the opening and closing times of the nursery their child attends, and should contact the nursery if collection will be more than 5 minutes late. Staffing and administrative charges (as indicated on the nursery fee structure) may apply if children are collected late
  • Payment of the £75 registration fee is not refundable on cancellation however the £400 deposit will be reimbursed to families at the end of a child’s attendance.
  • Riverside Nurseries staff cannot undertake the care of sick children (in particular those with infectious diseases, diarrhoea, vomiting and high temperatures) or children recovering from pre-sustained injuries i.e. fractured limbs. Should a child become unwell whilst attending nursery, parents will be contacted by a member of staff and maybe required to collect their child.
  • Parents need to give one full term’s notice (term time only settings) or one full calendar month’s notice (full day care settlings) in writing should you remove your child or reduce the bookings made for your child.
  • Fees are due and payable monthly/termly in advance and by the first day of the start of each calendar month/the first day of each term. Placements are not guaranteed if balances on fees are not paid by the due date. Full fees still apply in the case of illness, holidays, or unexplained absences.
  • Riverside Nurseries has the right to cancel placements where balances due on fees remain outstanding by more than 2 weeks after the fees are due
  • Riverside Nurseries staff, cannot be held responsible for the loss or damage of personal effects, items of clothing or monies. Parents should ensure that their child’s personal effects are clearly labelled and taken home at the end of each day.
  • Riverside Nurseries policies and procedures, which govern the way the nurseries run are available for parents to view online.
  • Parents will need to give permission for staff to administer medicine, handle emergency and control children in line with those policies.
  • Parents understand that staff will care for children in line with documents they sign upon acceptance of a nursery place and parents consent to them caring for children within that framework including agreeing to medical/hospital treatment in an emergency.
